Just got back from Summit City Comic Con / Mother’s Day! What a great weekend!

Thanks, everyone who stopped by the table and chatted with me. I’ve attended SCCC every year since it started 3 years ago, and it’s always my favorite. It’s small and quiet enough that I can actually just talk with people who like art and comics and scifi for hours and hours.

Well, rather I cohost a podcast with my friend and colleague, Stephen Bobbett , who does all the actual hard work. I just bather on while he records it.

In this first episode, we talk about the advent of digital comics, new marketing frontiers for comic creators and the Darwinian imperatives for brick-and-mortar comic book stores. Other topics include throwing dollar bills at people who surprisingly aren’t strippers; when comics meet animal secretions; and of course, the definition of art.
